Deer Creek and the Plateau
Deer Creek is a well-established residential community located close to the City of Crossville and all it has to offer. With more than 200 homes, we have an interesting mix of families, couples and singles. The beautiful homes are diverse in size and style, and the meandering roads help create a sense of privacy on large, well-maintained lots. Many homes are adjacent to the golf course, some enjoy a lakefront view, and some back up to acres of farmland.
As an HOA community, the residents share common areas that include Lake Genesis, a swimming pool, a tennis/pickleball court, a basketball court, a playground, and a pavilion. A single entrance/exit point helps provide a sense of peace and safety.
The new owners of the privately owned Deer Creek Golf Course completely renovated the course and club house and reopened to the public in the Spring of 2024. Golfers can enjoy 18 beautiful manicured holes, a restaurant, driving range, putting green, and more.
At an average elevation of 1800 feet above sea level, the Cumberland Plateau can boast about more moderate temperatures than lower lying cities. This is an area of four seasons, averaging about 80 degrees in summer and 30-40 degrees in the winter. The average rainfall is about 60” annually. It often comes in heavy downpours, but turns sunny again an hour later. A few light snowfalls (1/2 to 1” typically) occur and on occasion the thermometer sometimes dips into the teens, but it commonly melts by the next day as the temperature returns to its norms.
Tennessee is well known for its captivating forested State Parks that are free to all. While in Crossville, you are just a short drive from several breathtaking waterfalls and overlooks. Each of these areas feature groomed walking and hiking trails.
