How to Report a VEC Outage

  • SmartHub app - (VEC recommended) Download the SmartHub app to your mobile device. Do this BEFORE you need it, as you will need to provide your VEC account information to the app.  This is how it knows "who" and "where" you are.  The app allows you to report outages, see how many residents are without power and even view an outage map. 
    • To report an outage: From the bottom of the home screen, select "More" -> Contact Us -> Report an issue
    • To view the Outage Map: tap the "Outage Map" icon at the top of the home screen

  • From your browser: There are outage reporting links on the VEC website, including SmartHub pages.  Just click on a link, log on to your account, and outage information will be sent directly to VEC dispatchers.
